What is Sailing Southern Ground?
Sailing Southern Ground, a floating festival hosted by Zac Brown Band, will be home to 2000 friends that value family, food, and authentic music above all else. For those of you who have been a part of the ZBB experience, you get it. You know that emotional performances, spur-of-the-moment collaborations, amazing new friendships, and incredible stories are never far around the corner. Rather than a two-hour concert that you’ll talk about for a week, we wanted to help bring you a vacation that you’ll talk about for a lifetime. Join us for Labor Day weekend 2010, as Sailing Southern Ground will be bringing fans together from all over the globe for one hell of a good time.
We’ll be departing from Tampa, FL on September 2nd, 2010, visiting beautiful Grand Cayman, and returning to Tampa on September 6th. While on board, you can expect an incredible main stage show from your host Zac Brown Band, with many more musicians to be added later. When you’re not listening to pure musical performances, you’ll be hanging out with your closest friends on a beautiful cruise ship, lounging in crystal clear pools or at one of a dozen bars, eating in one of many on board restaurants, enjoying 24-hour room service, and maybe even gambling in the full service casino.
You can reserve your cabin for only $149 by clicking here.
Will the entertainers be on board the whole time?
All of our artists are excited to join you on board all five days of the event, with a few exceptions; there may be some cases where an artist must join us during the trip or depart early due to schedule or family commitments.
Am I guaranteed access to all shows onboard?
Everyone is guaranteed admission to one of the Zac Brown Band headlining shows in the main lounge, but the rest of the event is run “festival style”, with multiple shows going on simultaneously. All of these shows are general admission, so you’re welcome to come and go as you wish!
There are cases where capacity is limited, however, the artists perform multiple times during the cruise.
How does the Ticketing Policy work for my one headlining show work?
You are guaranteed admission to one Zac Brown Band headlining show, in addition to all the other great concerts onboard. You will be asked to select which show (show 1 or show 2) you would like to attend, and which zone you would like to sit in. Your zone will be ticketed according to the order you booked. Both the Balcony and Lower Level will have many zones, so you’ll be able to select where you want to sit/stand, in relation to the stage (Example: middle front, right side back, left side front, etc.)
You will be able to select your zone at the time of booking. Your seats in that selected zone will be assigned at a later date, according to the order in which you booked your cabin. Please note that you will not be able to tell how many seats are open in a zone, only if the zone is available for selection or not. For example, if you select a zone that is almost full, you will be toward the back; if you select a zone that is primarily empty, you will be toward the front.
Please be aware that the Lower Level is MODIFIED STANDING ROOM ONLY and does not secure a seat for you either before or during the show. Guests who choose seating in zones 1-4 should be aware that these zones will be standing room only with approximately 4 people assigned to a standard 2 person cocktail table. For example, at each table, two people will stand in front of the table, and two will stand behind the table. Zones 5 - 10 will be standing room only with approximately 8 people to a booth.
The balcony is ASSIGNED SEATING ONLY. In the balcony, zones 13-19 will be theatre style seating with one person assigned to each chair, with the exception of zone 17 which will be seated, with approximately 8 people to a booth. Please be aware that these zones will be seated only (no standing) and will be enforced as such.
Zones 11-12 and 20-21 are general admission standing room only, and you will not be assigned a table. You will not receive confirmation of a seat, but you will receive confirmation of your zone selection six weeks prior to sailing.
Your zone selection will be reflected in your reservation pages. Specific seat assignments will be made sixty days ahead of sailing.
All zone selections are final.
Are there any cruise discounts available?
- Reservations paid in full by February 5th, 2010, will receive a 5% discount.
- A discount of $99 is available to children ages 14 years and under.
- A discount of 5% to any active-duty military personnel (must Fax Military ID).
- No combining of non-age related discounts is allowed.

What is the ship's itinerary?
